HANCEVILLE – The “Seasons of Love” will be brought to life during the Wallace State Community College Choir’s concerts at 1 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the Recital Hall of the Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.
Choir Director Tiffany Richter said the almost 40-member choir will perform a variety of songs that follow every emotion associated with love. “Everything is going to talk about some kind of love,” she said, “the good, the bad, and the ugly, romantic love, break-ups, marriage, family love, love of the Creator to humans, love of mankind.”
Along with classical and modern arrangements, there will be dramatic readings of poetry and speeches.
A few of the performances will include “The Marriage” with text by 13th century poet Rumi, poetry by Emily Dickenson, and the Billy Joel Tune “Lullaby, Good Night My Angel.”
