Una Mae McCarley, 71, of Cullman entered into rest on January 14, 2012 in Cullman.
She was born on October 9, 1940 in Haleyville, Alabama to Irvin Maddox and Estelle Benefield. She was a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church for seven years. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and walking in the community.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Ms. McCarley will lie in state from 1-2pm at Northside Baptist Church, where services will be at 2pm. Brothers Chuck David and David McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Northside Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Renata) Benefield, Bobby (Denise) Lively, Robert (Gina) Shelby, Timothy Shelby; daughter, Vonda Morgan; brothers, William (Debra) Lawson, Sheryl (Betty) Lawson; sisters, Patricia (Lacey) Cochran, Patsy (Marion) Kelley; thirteen grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Maddox, and mother, Estelle Benefield Shelby; and daughter, Mary Abbott.
