CULLMAN – Agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) on Thursday arrested Jonathan Leamon Lee, 36, originally of Byron, Georgia for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, attempt to commit controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

CNET agents conducted a traffic stop on Lee’s vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 278 and County Road 406. CNET and Cullman County Diversion later searched Lee’s residence, where methamphetamine and cash were located under the washing machine inside a magnetic box.

Lee’s arrest led to the seizure of 9 grams of methamphetamine and $2,940 in cash.

“I am glad we were able to arrest this subject and seize the meth before it went into our community. I think we are sending a strong message if you sell drugs in Cullman County you will get arrested,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to think CNET and Diversion for working together to get this subject off the streets.”

Lee is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center without bond.
