Fairview Lions Club Labor Day Extravaganza set for Monday

FAIRVIEW, Ala. – The Fairview Lions Club will hold its annual Labor Day Extravaganza Monday, Sept. 2 beginning at 7 a.m.

The celebration will include a parade and car show and other activities, which will take place at Randall Shedd Community Park. The parade will begin at 11 a.m., so roads will be closed beginning at 10:50. The parade will start at Clint Barbee Field and go down Wesley Avenue to the park.

The parade lineup will include fire trucks, grand marshal, Miss Fairala, the Fairview High School marching band, Fairview youth football players and cheerleaders, area churches and horses.

Also, the Brandin’ Iron restaurant in Fairview will be open all day, with all proceeds going to the Fairview High School band.
