Charity Basketball Clinic to Help Vinemont Child Get Diabetic Alert Dog

CULLMAN — On Saturday, October 24th, there will be a one-day basketball clinic for boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade. Directed by former Vinemont High School players, Josh, Jared and Jay Hembree, the clinic will feature past and present players and coaches from Cullman County. All money raised from the event will help purchase a Diabetic Service Alert Dog for 5-year-old Lucas Hembree who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in April of 2015.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Cullman High School from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. For $40, participants will receive basketball instruction, a ‘Paws For a Cause’ T-shirt, lunch and a chance to win prizes.
