NWS Huntsville: Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday

From the National Weather Service:

FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING

The Flash Flood Watch continues for all counties in northern Alabama, as well as Lincoln, Moore and Franklin counties in southern middle Tennessee, from 7 AM CDT Tuesday morning through 7 AM CDT Wednesday morning.

Subtropical storm Alberto will continue to advance slowly northward across the Florida panhandle and into southern Alabama overnight. This will bring abundant moisture to the entire Tennessee Valley, but especially for areas east of the circulation center. The current forecast calls for rainfall totals in the 1 to 3 inch range west of I-65 and in the 2 to 4 inch range east of I-65, although locally higher amounts will be possible in banded precipitation. This may lead to some flash flooding, along with rises on area rivers and creeks.
